Biomy name is sam. i'm a girl. i live on the first floor of a house with two roommates and two dogs. one of the dogs is mine, and he likes to rub his face into my back in the mornings. it's one of life's better things.
i spend my days working and my nights going to school. i'm still trying to get the hang of that. i'm studying public health, and have no idea where that leads. but the ride, for now, is worth it.
i like eating and i love cookbooks but somehow that never translates into, you know, cooking. i am in an open marriage with cheese. i read a lot, but not as much as i used to. in eighth grade i read a book a day. write not as much, and knit/quilt/stare longingly at my sewing machine, wishing i knew how to use it. i like to stick my hands deep into bins full of coffee beans. i like the smell of wet spring. i like to lie in the grass, but i don't very often. i'm afraid of deep water and heights. i like old houses that creak. my dog makes me want to bite him because he is so desperately perfect.
i am loud and funny and very good at giving advice. i have a difficult relationship with my mother, in a very not interesting way. i have become a homebody, but i love people too much to enjoy being alone. i am practicing being better at quiet.
my life is, nowadays, more on fast-forward than anything else. i'm learning, but slowly, to take my time and to breathe and be happy.
